Beirut Based started as a meet-up group for women. Most of us are expats who followed love or work to the Middle East and now call Lebanon our home away from home. I launched this site as a resource for those new to the city or just looking for a way to navigate it.
When I’m not doling out tips for getting by in Beirut, I work as a freelance writer. I’ve chronicled my experience moving to Lebanon for The Hairpin, covered my adopted city for Nylon and Condé Nast Traveller Middle East, and spent several years as editor of local magazines Time Out Beirut and A.
